Food Intolerance Test: Several Forms Of Allergies

by Keith Ferris

What if something you eat at for example food from your local supermarket or your favorite restaurant is actually poisioning you. You might be suffering from food allergies or food intolerance if you have been suffering from an unusual amount of gas, wind, or bloating.

The various examples of food allergies are lactose intolerance (the inability to digest dairy products), peanut allergies, and many more. People may suffer from food intolerance their whole life without ever knowing it! which is particularly alarming because food intolerance has been linked to such conditions as migraines, eczema, asthma, chronic fatigue, and ibs (irritable bowel syndrome).

Many people suffer from a food intolerance to soybeans. The main problem they face is that soy products, including soybean oil or ground soy, can be found in many of the foods people eat, meaning, if you have a soy allergy, that you can be poisoning yourself every time you go out to eat! Processed foods are quite often prepared with soy-based preservatives, fast foods are cooked in soy oil and, to cut costs, some hamburgers even include soy beans.

A food intolerance test has normally been the way to detect food allergies. The most effective method of food intolerance test is the ELISA IgG Blood Test. This method consists of taking a few drops of blood from a finger and then testing the blood for a reaction to different foods. If the antibodies in the blood have reacted to the foods a special die changes colour to indicate the reaction.

Determining whether you have a food intolerance has in the past required making an appointment at the doctors office for a food intolerance test, and that can lead to long periods of waiting, both in the lobby and the doctors office, disinterested and uncaring doctors and nurse staff and the discomfort of having to take the test. Now, however, a home intolerance test kit has been developed which allows you to bypass all such inconveniences. The test only takes you five minutes to do, and then just pop the supplied envelope in the post, and it's much more cost effective.

Have you been experiencing the following symptoms- gas, wind, bloating, migraines, eczema, asthma, chronic fatigue or irritable bowel syndrome? If so, then you may be suffering from what is known as a food intolerance. If so, you're not without options. By picking up an intolerance test kit, you may very well be led to a healthier, more fulfilling life. You'll feel relief just knowing you have taken this vital step in solving your problem.
